EDB is Norway’s largest Information Technology provider, with over 6000 employees operating globally. Through several acquisitions the brand had become fragmented and unfocussed. Our research uncovered EDB’s exceptional accomplishments within the IT field, through cutting-edge technology they frequently revolutionise their client’s businesses. Whatever challenges EDB encounters - they deliver, we defined this as the brand idea “Achievement.” A full rebrand including revised brand architecture and identity programme became part of our mandate. To make EDB more "tangible" we introduced a new image bank, photgraphy of mountains became a metaphor for the company’s accomplishments and a more conscious use of facts and testimonials helped to qualify their claims. Initial results have been very encouraging with subsidiaries willing to switch to the new brand. Clients have welcomed a more aggressive stance and there has been dramatic rise in graduates now seeking EDB as a preferred employer.
