Check out this post by Pentagram, its a kind of trip down memory lane reflecting their development of the United Airlines brand. In the same way that Stockholm Design Lab oversee SAS it shows that to really put value into a brand you've got to work with the client through the good times and the bad times.

Here's a new headline font I've been working on. It started out as a font for an artist promo', but liked it so much I kept for myself and designed another font - that will be out later this year. The eagle image was shot by my mate Pål Laukli with image manipulation by your's truly.

EDB is the brand identity I've been working on with Mission in Scandinavia for some time. It's been a long, but rewarding process made more so by being acknowledged with the Norwegian Design Council's Design Excellence Award. I worked on the overall creative direction with the Mission team and tactical projects such as; brand concept, architecture, brand book, language workshops, image bank and brand communication. The jury commented on the "superior workmanship" and the way design has helped "unify" the culture, but none of this would be possible without the openness of the client, the talent of Damian & Pål (photographers) and the drive of the Mission team - nice one guys.

A sharp, black bubble pack came in the post today containing Richard Moran's latest volume. The book shows Richard's superb and varied portraits smartly presented by Rob at Golden. Check out the new MIT brand identity, its based on an algorithm that produces a different symbol every time representing the individuals within the MIT community. It's one of the better reasons I've heard for these "evolving" identities, anyone remember MTV...? All credit to TheGreenEyl for pulling it off.
